Cette série de peintures tente d’explorer toutes les possibilités graphiques en détournant et en réactualisant les thèmes du Pop art ainsi que de la pop culture. Les univers warholien ainsi que celui du comics servent de base de travail à cette exploration. Wall-Street, temple du capitalisme américain caractérisé par un billet de 1 dollar sur lequel on devine l’ombre de Batman. Entre Gotham City et New York, entre rêve et réalité, l’artiste Tarek ne peut choisir.
This series of paintings try to explore all graphic possibilities by diverting and updating the themes of Pop art as well as pop culture. The Warholian universes as well as that of comics serve as a working basis for this exploration. Wall Street, the temple of American capitalism characterized by a dollar bill on which we can guess the shadow of Batman. Between Gotham City and New York, between dream and reality, artist Tarek cannot choose.
