En octobre 2017 puis en 2018, Mat Elbé et Tarek ont retrouvé des amis à New York qui leur ont permis de voir la ville autrement et de mieux comprendre l’envers du décor de Gotham… Phil qui a rejoint le collectif From Gotham et Tarek se connaissent depuis 2014 lors de la seconde exposition de ce dernier à Manhattan. Il a même participé à l’une des expositions organisées par Partitions urbaines à la galerie Amarrage de Saint-Ouen. Depuis cette époque, ils sont restés en contact. Et bien sûr Malik, un collaborateur du magazine Paris Tonkar vivant à Montréal, qui était de passage à New York pour réaliser des interviews dont celle de Tom Selleck (Thomas Magnum himself)… avec qui ils ont passé deux belles soirées dans le Lower East side.
In October 2017 and again in 2018, Mat Elbé and Tarek found friends in New York City that allowed them to see the city differently and better understand the backdrop of Gotham … Phil who joined the collective From Gotham and Tarek have known each other since 2014 during his second exhibition in Manhattan. He even participated in one of the exhibitions organized by Urban Partitions at the Amarrage Gallery in Saint-Ouen. Since then, they have stayed in touch. And of course Malik, a collaborator of Paris Tonkar magazine living in Montreal, who was in New York to conduct interviews including that of Tom Selleck (Thomas Magnum himself) … with whom they spent two beautiful evenings in the Lower East side.
