Loodz rejoint From Gotham
Loodz est né en septembre 1978. Très tôt il se met à dessiner et à s’éprendre des univers de science-fiction qui garnissent ses bandes dessinées de l’époque. En 1997, son ami Alker lui cède un original du fameux Paris Tonkar ainsi que les cassettes vidéo Style Wars et Wild Style. Pour lui, c’est une révélation vite métamorphosée en passion, dès lors il se met à pratiquer le graffiti sous diverses formes, ce qui l’amènera à partir de 2005 à entamer une démarche d’atelier pour pousser plus loin sa quête.
A partir de 2010, il commence à montrer ses travaux et participe à ses premières expositions. Les retours sont plutôt positifs. Il opère un changement radical et se rapproche à nouveau de son premier amour, la bande dessinée. Il en garde une technique de colorisation principalement en aplat, caractéristique de l’âge d’or des comics et un gout prononcé pour le trait…
En 2012, Loodz à l‘occasion d’un voyage au Pérou, fort impressionné par l’art des civilisations disparues, l’iconographie andine, le travail sur textile propre à la vallée sacrée ou encore le travail pictural des femmes Chipibo, Loodz revient évidement changé et déterminé. Son travail devient dès lors plus abstrait. C’est l’artiste Pro176 qui lui apprend à utiliser l’acrylique et lui enseigne, par l’exemple, l’art de travailler ainsi, ce sera une nouvelle révolution pour Loodz qui de là s’applique à produire et rechercher sans cesse afin de trouver la parfaite synthèse entre ses multiples influences.
Facilement identifiable, son univers sur toile tend clairement vers une esthétique futuriste, une sorte de prolongement du graffiti qu’il défend, lié à une recherche introspective et d’un caractère spéculatif où l’utilisation de symboles l’amène à développer un discours sous forme d’abstraction narrative. C’est une quête qui se poursuit donc pour Loodz et qui se forge à la mesure du travail accomplit.

In 2012, Loodz during a trip to Peru, very impressed by the art of the lost civilizations, the Andean iconography, the textile work of the sacred valley or the pictorial work of women Chipibo, Loodz returns obviously changed and determined. His work becomes more abstract. It is the artist Pro176 who teaches him how to use acrylic and teaches him, by example, the art of working in this way, it will be a new revolution for Loodz who from then on is constantly producing and looking for in order to find the perfect synthesis between its multiple influences.
Easily identifiable, his universe on canvas clearly tends towards a futuristic aesthetic, a kind of extension of the graffiti that he defends, linked to an introspective research and a speculative character where the use of symbols leads him to develop a discourse under form of narrative abstraction. This is a quest that continues for Loodz and is forged to the extent of the work done.
